Founded in 2022, the Hispanic Performing Arts Group was created with a passionate commitment to celebrate, preserve, and elevate Hispanic cultural heritage through music, dance, and theater. Its mission is to showcase the richness of Hispanic traditions, artistic expressions, and diverse narratives while making culturally significant programming accessible to South Florida audiences.

The organization debuted at the Manuel Artime Theater with an evening of Cuban and Spanish Zarzuela, establishing a strong foundation for its ongoing work preserving Hispanic musical and theatrical traditions. Since then, Hispanic Performing Arts Group has developed into a multidisciplinary organization presenting performances, cultural programs, and community-based initiatives that reflect the diversity of the Hispanic world.

Among its notable achievements is its participation in Make Music Miami for three consecutive years, presenting Spanish and Latin American repertoire to diverse audiences. The organization also established the annual Hispanic Performing Arts Festival, presented each October in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This signature event combines music, song, dance, and theater, providing a platform for Hispanic artists while creating an engaging cultural experience for the community.

The organization has also participated in Café con Arte at the Futurama Gallery in Little Havana, an interdisciplinary event combining visual art, live music, dance, and performance in one of Miami's most culturally significant neighborhoods. This collaboration reflects our commitment to bringing the performing arts directly into community spaces and strengthening connections among artists, audiences, and cultural organizations.

Recent programming demonstrates the organization's continued artistic growth. On April 16, 2025, Classical Music from Cuba and Puerto Rico was presented at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, celebrating the classical musical heritage of these two Caribbean cultures. On October 26, 2025, the Hispanic Performing Arts Festival returned to the Manuel Artime Theater with a multidisciplinary celebration of Hispanic music, dance, and theater.

On May 31, 2026, the organization presented Boleros de Oro at Sala Catarsis at Teatro Trail. The concert was a great success, celebrating the romantic tradition of the Latin American bolero through accomplished singers and musicians. The enthusiastic audience response demonstrated the continued relevance and popularity of this important musical tradition and reinforced our commitment to preserving Hispanic cultural heritage through high-quality live performances.

Another important initiative is Fridays of Hispanic Arts (Viernes de las Artes Hispanas), a concert series created to deepen community engagement and celebrate different aspects of Hispanic performing arts. Programs have included Dances and Songs from the Spanish Motherland, featuring flamenco, Spanish dance, and classical repertoire; Rhythms and Classics of the Hispanic Caribbean, highlighting music from Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic; Voices of Zarzuela, celebrating Spanish and Latin American lyrical theater; and Navidad Nuestra: Art and Tradition, featuring Hispanic holiday music, dance, and cultural traditions.

At the heart of our work is the belief that the arts can build bridges, strengthen cultural identity, and create meaningful connections among generations and communities. Through partnerships, outreach, and performances in theaters and community venues, we strive to make Hispanic performing arts accessible to residents and visitors throughout South Florida.
